Amazing love, how can it be? That You, my King, would die for me. Amazing love, I know its true, it’s my joy to honor You. In all I do, I honor You. ♥
My hope it comes from You alone. My Lord and my Salvation. ♥
In times of depression, immediately turn to God because He is definitely bigger than your problems. Remember that nothing can ever be greater than Him. And when you feel like your life is a mess and there’s nothing else you can do to make it better, believe that:
- God’s compassion strengthens us. Look at the birds in the sky - they don’t plant or harvest anything and yet the Lord feeds them everyday. If He feeds the birds, what more can He do to you, His child? So whenever you feel like you’ve reached the pit of your depression, always remember that His compassion will strengthen you. Or whenever you feel burned out with all the school work, deadlines, papers or even your job, learn to rely on God’s strength rather than relying on your own strength. He’s more than willing to give you the strength you need.
- God’s power supports us. Do you guys know about the story of Elijah and how he ran away the moment he received a death threat from Jezebel? Elijah is one of the greatest prophets of God and he was known for his strong faith but the moment he received the letter, he ran away… his action showed that not all those who are strong in their faith don’t have the right be scared anymore because after all, he was still human. Elijah ran away because he was afraid, he even got to the point where he asked God to take his life but God made Elijah realize that He was with him. God proved himself powerful when He sent the strong and powerful wind that shattered rocks in the cave where Elijah hid, the earthquake that came after the wind and the fire that came after the earthquake but Elijah didn’t see God in those things. But then after the fire, Elijah heard a gentle whisper and He knew it was God. God whispered to Elijah to prove that He will support him all throughout. Sometimes, we don’t need the comfort of other people because sometimes, they end up judging us and sometimes, they won’t even care. Most of the time, the only comfort we need is just by talking to God. He listens. 24/7.
- God’s love sustains us. God had all the reasons to leave Elijah but because He loved him, God was ready to have him back. He was ready to help Elijah because He loved him. Elijah wanted to die because He was afraid that he might be killed. He relied on his own strength and capabilities because he concentrated on himself instead of focusing on what God can do for him. We have to remember that when God is in command, there is always hope.
Always remember that His compassion will strengthen us, His power will support us and that His love will sustain us. :)
And well, yeah, this sums up the message I heard at church a few hours ago and I am beyond blessed again to having been able to serve Him by singing. I praise and thank Him for every opportunity He’s giving me and my other friends. Truly, God is awesome. ♥
Holding on to His promises, as always. ♡
